Anne van Dassen Müller is Chief People Officer at Stolt-Nielsen, a global shipping and logistics group headquartered in the Netherlands. She has more than 25 years of international leadership experience. Over the past five years she has helped steer the company's growth from $2 billion to $3 billion, built on a simple belief: People strategy helps drive the business, not just supports it.
Her current focus is on how Stolt-Nielsen can make the most of AI, digitalisation and strategic workforce planning, without losing the human connections that actually shape performance and engagement.
Her path there wasn't a straight line through logistics. She started as HR Director at Magasin du Nord, Denmark's best-known department store chain, then moved into a European HR role at JohnsonDiversey, renamed Diversey in 2010. She now leads People globally at Stolt-Nielsen, a journey that took her from a national retail brand, through a European mandate, to a truly global executive role.
Danish by background, she has been living with her husband and daughter in the Netherlands since 2009. Her daughter is currently on an internship in Paris, making this trip a personal one as well as a professional one.
